Mechanical Assembly Associate

Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Associate                                              Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Supervisor of Manufacturing                                                Effective Date: April 2025

 

Job Summary:

  • Assemble products and parts of products according to instructions, using a variety of tools and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, schematics, or other documentation to build products to specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble products
  • Keep track of tools, parts, and supplies, and contact materials handlers when needed
  • Regularly inspect products to ensure they meet quality and completion standards, and resolve any issues
  • Communicate with other stations on the assembly line, and with supervisors, leads, and engineers
  • Complete forms, reports and other documentation per assembly instructions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination required.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to change tasks to meet schedule demands.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English is essential for understanding technical documents, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, trade school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at times
