Solder Machine Operator

Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Associate                                                                  Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Lisa DeLuca                                                                                                Effective Date: August 2025

Job Summary:

● Performs various types of machine soldering operations utilizing selective and wave soldering equipment.
● Consults production schedule to prepare work area and equipment.
● Gathers components needed to meet production schedules.
● Sets up equipment and ensures proper operation.
● Visually scans products prior to and after soldering to detect defects.
● Documents production totals and any errors.
● Consults with Engineering and QA to help resolve production issues.
● Cleans work area and equipment.
● Performs other duties as assigned

 Duties/Responsibilities:

● Excellent hand-eye coordination required.
● Ability to follow instructions.
● Proficiency in reading and writing in English is essential for understanding documents, safety guidelines and quality standards.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent time management skills.
● Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
● Ability to maintain flexibility and to change tasks to meet schedule demands.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

● High School Diploma or equivalent.
● 1 year of related work experience.
● Good verbal and written communication skills..

 Physical Requirements:

● Prolonged periods of sitting.
● May need to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
